Job summary

Pediatric Home Service is seeking a Float Nurse RN or LPN to deliver 1:1 pediatric home health care in Wichita and surrounding areas. The role includes hospital-to-home transition support, bedside training, and seamless handoff to the family and long-term nursing team.

Full-time position with shifts across days, nights, and weekends, including travel up to 30-50 miles from Wichita. License in good standing with the Kansas Board of Nursing required.

Qualifications

• Must hold an RN or LPN license in good standing with the Kansas state board of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 pediatric home health nursing across Wichita and surrounding areas.
• Support patients and families during hospital-to-home transition, including bedside training and handoff to the family and long-term nursing team.

THE POSITION

• Location: Wichita and Surrounding Area (travel to 30-50 miles outside of Wichita)
• Schedule: Full Time Days, Nights, and Weekends
• Shift: Flexible to work avariety of days and shifts around the Wichita metro area, to support the unique needs of patients transitioning to the home setting. When possible, schedules will be created 2 weeks in advance.
  • This position will also support a patient and family as they transition to the home setting for the first time, after a hospitalization or new diagnosis/technology. Ensuring the journey from hospital to home is a smooth process, starting in the hospital with bedside training to being settled at home and ready to hand off cares to the family and long-term nursing team. The Float Nurse helps the patient and family be comfortable and confident at home after discharge.

EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS:

• Must be a LPN or RN licensed in good standing with Kansas state board of nursing.
