Job summary

Pediatric Home Service is seeking a dedicated RN or LPN to provide 1:1 pediatric home health care in the Wichita area. You will support children with medical complexities, ensuring safe and comfortable care at home and during transitions from hospital to home.

The role offers flexible shifts across days, nights, and weekends, with travel within 30–50 miles of Wichita. Must hold an active Kansas RN or LPN license in good standing.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to provide 1:1 pediatric home health care.
• Excellent communication with families and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work flexible shifts across days, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 pediatric home health care to children with medical complexities.
• Support the patient and family during the transition from hospital to home, including bedside training.
• Collaborate with family and long-term nursing team to maintain safe, effective home-based care.

THE POSITION

• Location: Wichita and Surrounding Area (travel to 30-50 miles outside of Wichita)
• Schedule: Full Time Days, Nights, and Weekends
• Shift: Flexible to work avariety of days and shifts around the Wichita metro area, to support the unique needs of patients transitioning to the home setting. When possible, schedules will be created 2 weeks in advance.
  • This position will also support a patient and family as they transition to the home setting for the first time, after a hospitalization or new diagnosis/technology. Ensuring the journey from hospital to home is a smooth process, starting in the hospital with bedside training to being settled at home and ready to hand off cares to the family and long-term nursing team. The Float Nurse helps the patient and family be comfortable and confident at home after discharge.

EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS:

• Must be a LPN or RN licensed in good standing with Kansas state board of nursing.
