Qualifications

  • PhD or PsyD in APA-approved clinical psychology or subspecialty program.
  • Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Clinical Psychologist in Wisconsin.
  • Clinical experience assessing and treating children.
  • Specialized training/fellowship in child psychology preferred.
  • Board certified/board eligible in psychology.

Responsibilities

  • Provide child psychology services with diagnostic focus for children with attention, learning, autism, anxiety, language disorders, and related concerns.
  • Interface and consult with school personnel as needed.
  • Conduct thorough developmental, academic, cognitive, social, behavioral, and emotional evaluations for children and adolescents.
  • Work with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, SLPs, OT providers, and others.
  • Help families understand children’s strengths, weaknesses, and diagnostic profiles.
  • Develop personalized patient recommendations.
  • Provide evidence-based individual, family, or group treatment for patients with anxiety, ADHD, and developmental delays.
  • Provide psychological assessment, testing, and individual and group psychotherapy.
  • Teach psychology learners, residents, and medical students.
  • Provide dedicated supervision when available.
  • Participate in clinical research and teaching opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chair or Chair-Designate

Job description

  • Help families understand children’s strengths, weaknesses, and diagnostic profiles
  • Develop personalized patient recommendations
  • Provide evidence-based individual, family, or group treatment for patients with anxiety, ADHD, and developmental delays
  • Provide psychological assessment, testing, and individual and group psychotherapy
  • Teach psychology learners, residents, and medical students
  • Provide dedicated supervision when available
  • Participate in clinical research and teaching opportunities

Requirements
  • PhD or PsyD in an APA approved clinical psychology, school psychology, neuropsychology program, or appropriate subspecialty program
  • Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Clinical Psychologist in the State of Wisconsin
  • Clinical experience assessing and treating children
  • Specialized training, including fellowship in child psychology, preferred
  • Board certified / board eligible physician
