Job summary

Children’s Wisconsin is seeking healthcare professionals to join the Emergency Department team. You will deliver life‑saving interventions, monitor patient conditions, and support clinicians in providing high‑quality pediatric care.

Training and orientation are provided as part of a collaborative, fast‑paced environment. Qualifications include EMT/AEMT/Paramedic or Medical Assistant training and 1+ year experience in pediatrics or ED care.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic program or Medical Assistant program is required.
• 1+ years experience in Pediatrics, Emergency Department, or Urgent Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver basic and advanced life support care, treatment, and patient assessments per protocols.
• Provide ongoing patient care and maintain accurate documentation in Epic.
• Gather patient information, obtain vital signs, and prepare treatment areas.
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to the care team.
• Initiate clinical interventions and assist with treatments, procedures, and diagnostic testing.
• Identify and stabilize acutely ill or injured patients in collaboration with physicians and nurses.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge needs.
