Job summary

The Hospitals of Providence seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Emergency Room in El Paso. This full-time staff position involves rotating shifts and direct patient care of pediatric patients under the ER protocol.

Required is active RN licensure, CPR, and BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required by policy. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred, with recent acute care experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• Direct patient care within pediatric emergency setting.
• Administer medications safely per hospital policy.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care to assigned pediatric ER patients per shift.
• Supervise staff and delegate appropriate care.
• Support CNO to ensure high quality nursing care and use of resources.
• Administer medications safely and timely according to policy.
• Follow safety, risk management, QA and infection control standards.
• Know and respond to emergency codes and participate in HICS.
