Job summary

K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ is seeking a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Medical Director to lead a dynamic PED, drive clinical excellence, and shape the future of pediatric emergency care.

The role offers academic collaboration with Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine, a Level I pediatric trauma center, and opportunities to establish PEM fellowship programs within a comprehensive, well-supported practice.

Qualifications

• Must be BC in Pediatric Emergency Medicine with established academic and leadership background.
• Ability to help develop and grow an innovative program, with potential aspirations to help form a PEM fellowship.
• Ability to help nurture and advance the clinical goals of the team of physicians who currently work in the PED.
• Excellent compensation package including CME allowance, expense reimbursement account and fully paid malpractice coverage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the PED program and drive clinical excellence.
• Develop and advance PEM fellowship and training opportunities.
• Mentor faculty and oversee multi-physician group including full/part-time and per diem staff.
• Collaborate with academic partners and hospital leadership to enhance outcomes.
