Job summary

Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care under general supervision in a hospital setting. Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Two years of Registered Nurse experience required in the specific specialty area or LPN experience at GBMC with director approval.
• Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses as a Registered Nurse.
• Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification from an affiliated American Heart Association training site.
• Additional Certifications (i.e. ALS, PALS, NRP) are required upon hire for specialty areas.

Responsibilities

• Utilization of Nursing Process.
• Assesses and formulates nursing diagnoses, plans, implements, and reassesses care.
• Coordinates patient care with health team members and family.
• Delivers medications, IV therapy, and treatments; initiates emergency procedures as needed.
• Documents status and plan of care; communicates with physicians and staff.
• Manages daily patient assignments and coordinates activities with other disciplines.
