Job summary

Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group in Central California seeks a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pediatric Neurologist with epilepsy expertise to join its growing pediatric neuroscience program at Valley Children’s Healthcare.

The position offers involvement in a Level 4 Epilepsy Center, collaboration with pediatric neurosurgery and a multidisciplinary team, and opportunities to develop clinical niches, teach learners and contribute to program growth.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree, or international equivalent.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology.
• Experience or advanced training in the diagnosis and management of pediatric epilepsy.
• Fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology is preferred.
• Experience with EEG interpretation strongly preferred.
• Eligible for medical licensure in the State of California.
• Commitment to collaborative, multidisciplinary and family-centered pediatric care.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside pediatric neurologists and pediatric neurosurgery to provide comprehensive epilepsy and general neurological care.
• Provide evaluation and longitudinal management of children with epilepsy, including complex and medically refractory cases.
• Participate in development and growth of a Level 4 Epilepsy Center.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for epilepsy surgery evaluations.
• Engage in EEG interpretation and epilepsy monitoring based on training and experience.
• Teach residents, fellows and other learners.
