Qualifications

• MD degree or equivalent.
• Fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology.
• Board certified or eligible in otolaryngology.
• Experience with children with chronic illness and coordinating care.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Recommend criteria for clinical privileges for department members.
• Review adherence to Medical Staff policies and clinical practice principles.
• Evaluate care provided outside the hospital via contracts or other agreements.
• Coordinate patient care with nursing and ancillary services.
• Act on problems in patient care and opportunities to improve care.
• Submit reports on review activities and recommendations for improvements.
• Provide orientation and continuing education for department staff.
