Job Description:
- The Division of Pediatric Endocrinology is now recruiting a Pediatric Endocrinologist to join our Pediatric team in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
- You will play an integral role in an innovative new model of care using technology and digital patient engagement to provide high quality, compassionate care.
- The candidate must have completed Pediatric Fellowship training, be Board Certified/Eligible in pediatric endocrinology, and eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania.
- Harrisburg has 72 NICU, PICU, and general pediatric beds.
- The pediatric team includes 7 pediatric hospitalists, 4 pediatric intensivists, 9 neonatologists, 1 child neurologist, 2 pediatric endocrinologists, 2 pediatric gastroenterologists, 4 pediatric cardiologists, 1 pediatric orthopedist, 2 pediatric surgeons, as well as pediatric and neonatal APPs.
- Epic EMR system is used.
- The role involves providing direct pediatric care via telemedicine and in-person clinic visits.
- Minimal call responsibilities, primarily phone coverage for inpatient consults and some telemedicine support. An after-hours Nurse Advice Line triages and handles most outpatient calls.
- Utilizes EPIC EMR, online diagnostics including PACS imaging, and laboratory results.
- Work schedule includes Monday through Sunday with a rotating weekend schedule.
