The faculty member will also be expected to develop and perform clinical activities in surrounding outreach locations in Southeast NC.

As a top-tier academic medical center, UNC Children’s upholds a four-tiered mission to CARE, aligning clinical care, advocacy, research, and education to deliver world-class family-centered care. The UNC Division of Pediatric Endocrinology in Chapel Hill is nationally known as a center of excellence for care of children with diabetes or endocrinologic problems. This includes multidisciplinary clinics in Turner Syndrome, gender wellness, and disorders of sexual development clinic. Through the partnership between Novant Health and UNC Children’s, NH-NHRMC will become the tertiary care referral hospital for children in Coastal and Southeast NC. Additionally, there will be ongoing expansion of educational opportunities with medical students, other health profession students, and residents.
