Job summary

Qualifications

• MSW from an accredited program is required.
• Current, unrestricted LSW licensure in Ohio is required.
• 2 years of pediatric experience preferred in healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Conducts psychosocial assessments for pediatric patients and families.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses, therapists to develop care plans and discharge plans.
• Facilitates communication between healthcare team and patients/families.
• Addresses barriers to care including socioeconomic and housing issues.
• Provides crisis intervention and support for trauma, grief, or distress.
• Advocates for patient rights and coordinates referrals to services.
• Documents all social work interventions per policies and standards.
• Participates in multidisciplinary meetings and ongoing professional development.
• Maintains confidentiality and NASW ethics.
