Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time EMT/Paramedic to join the Emergency Department in Phoenix.

The role supports the care plan under the administrative medical director, performing direct patient care under defined protocols and collaborating with the healthcare team. Requirements include high school diploma, at least 1 year EMT/paramedic experience, Arizona Paramedic certification or ability to obtain, BLS, PALS within 9 months, and ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of EMT or paramedic experience required.
• Completion of a course of study leading to a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Arizona Paramedic certification or ability to obtain prior to start date.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or the ability to obtain prior to start date.
• Current PALS or must obtain within 9 months of start date.
• Current ACLS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care interventions, including medication administration, in alignment with state scope of practice and protocols.
• Performs focused assessment of interventions and documents findings.
• Provides orientation to the unit, hospital systems, and processes for patients and families.
• Contributes to team efforts to maintain medication, storage and documentation standards.
• Participates in in-service programs, meetings, and rounds as indicated.
• Maintains department environment and patient care needs.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as requested.
