The facility is a Level I trauma center with 59 beds and an annual ER volume of 101,692. Approximately 81% of hospital admissions originate from the ED, with 12% of ED patients admitted daily and 0.002% transferred. The ED team includes 23 physicians, and a fast track staffed by both MDs and APPs handles 40% of total ED volume. The locum physician will be required to supervise APPs and residents. The documentation system is EPIC, and ED staff do not respond to house codes.
