Progressive Emergency Physicians has an excellent opportunity for an employed full-time Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician to join our Emergency Medicine Physician team at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, a member of Catholic Health Services of Long Island. We are seeking candidates who are board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
The candidate will have the opportunity to join the Catholic Health Services team through Progressive Emergency Physicians and become part of one of the nation's leading healthcare organizations. Our Facility
Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, part of Catholic Health Services of Long Island, is a 537-bed not-for-profit hospital serving the south shore communities of Long Island in West Islip, NY. It offers comprehensive medical services across all disciplines for inpatients and outpatients, including being one of the largest providers of emergency services on Long Island. Pediatric patients are treated in the dedicated pediatric emergency department, with admissions to the Pediatric Unit or Pediatric ICU as needed. Pediatric subspecialists are available around the clock.
Our Emergency Department
The emergency department operates 24/7, evaluating and treating all emergencies. It is the only Verified Level II Trauma Center for both adult and pediatric patients on Long Island's south shore. The team collaborates with in-hospital trauma, cardiac, and stroke teams to provide immediate care. Annually, approximately 90,000 patients are treated in this department.
