Job summary

El Paso Children’s Hospital is seeking a Medical Director for Pediatric Emergency Medicine to lead a dedicated team and shape the future of PEM in a growing children’s hospital.

You’ll mentor physicians, collaborate with hospital leadership, and champion clinical excellence across a busy 24/7 pediatric ED. The role offers academic ties, leadership responsibilities, and comprehensive benefits in a vibrant West Texas community.

Qualifications

• Board certified in pediatric emergency medicine.
• Board certification in pediatrics or emergency medicine with PEM fellowship and board exam.
• ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications.
• Texas medical license and DEA, or ability to obtain prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Mentor physicians and collaborate with hospital leadership.
• Champion clinical excellence and growth of pediatric emergency medicine.
• Provide 24 hours of physician coverage with APC support.
• Collaborate with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso.
• Lead pediatric ED operations and ensure high-quality patient care.
