Jackson South Medical Center in Miami, Florida is seeking a PEM Attending Physician to lead the medical management of pediatric emergency patients. You will collaborate with medical staff, nursing, social work and management to develop, implement and evaluate standards of patient care.

The role involves direct patient care with documentation for Medicare/Medicaid and third-party payers, and coordination with specialists.

Formación

• Doctorate degree in Medicine is required.
• Valid Florida Medical License.
• DEA and PEM board certification is required.
• AHA and other life support certifications may be required at unit level upon hire.

Responsabilidades

• Performs medical examinations, evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment to System patients.
• Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
• Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.
• Provides medical record documentation including Medicare/Medicaid and third party payers requirements.
• Participates in utilization review, quality assessment and improvement programs to improve patient care.
