Job summary

Jackson West Medical Center- Pediatric Emergency Medicine in Doral, FL seeks an Attending Physician to lead medical management of pediatric emergency patients. You will maintain communication with staff and coordinate care across departments.

The role requires Florida medical license, PEM board certification, 3–5 years of related experience, and a commitment to high-quality patient care. Shifts are 11AM–11PM, 120 hours monthly, with weekend coverage adjustments.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Medical License.
• DEA and board certification (PEM) is required.
• American Heart Association and any additional applicable life support certification may be required at the unit level upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs medical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment to System patients.
• Provides direct patient care and maintains medical record documentation including Medicare/Medicaid and third party payers requirements.
• Prescribes pharmaceuticals and treatment regimens as appropriate.
• Directs and coordinates patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.
• Participates in quality improvement programs and adheres to policies and standards.
• Attends Medical Staff meetings and participates in committees/sub-committees.
