Job description

Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Pediatric Electrophysiologist to join the Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. Interested candidates should be BE/BC in Pediatric Cardiology with an additional year of pediatric/congenital electrophysiology training and should be eligible for licensure in the State of California. Candidates should have a record of excellence in clinical care, including expertise in the management of complex arrhythmias and implanted cardiac rhythm devices in complex congenital heart disease.

The successful applicant will join a team of academic pediatric cardiologists providing a full spectrum of clinical pediatric cardiology services with expertise in multi-modal diagnostic imaging, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, fetal cardiology, heart failure, cardiac transplantation, and pulmonary hypertension.

Responsibilities:

1. Invasive and noninvasive management of arrhythmias.
2. Management of implanted cardiac rhythm devices.
3. General clinical responsibilities.
4. Working with the lab team to provide a positive forward-thinking working environment.
5. Maintaining and managing quality care.
6. Fostering new and ongoing research opportunities.
7. Continued advancement in the field of pediatric/congenital electrophysiology.
8. Serving as an attending physician within the pediatric cardiology division.
9. Being a member of the teaching faculty within the graduate and undergraduate medical education programs based at the Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital and Loma Linda University School of Medicine.

Academic affiliations will be available at the Assistant Professor level and above, depending on prior experience.

Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital is a 364-bed tertiary/quaternary children’s hospital located in Loma Linda, California, and provides care for the children of the Inland Empire and the Greater Southern California Region. A brand new state-of-the-art medical center opened in 2021, which is the new home for pediatric cardiac imaging including echocardiography, stress testing and the catheterization laboratories, featuring two new biplane Siemens Artis q.Zen catheterization laboratories. The Children’s Hospital Heart program was ranked in the top 10 programs by US News and World report and performs approximately 300 cardiac surgeries a year and around 450-550 cases in our catheterization. Approximately 9,000 echocardiograms including 1100 fetal echocardiograms are performed annually.

Compensation & Benefits

The compensation range listed is for starting base compensation only and is adjusted based upon years of experience and/or faculty rank: $337,000-$394,200. This amount does not include variable compensation or extra productivity and is subject to the individual department compensation plans. More information on compensation is discussed with the departments during the recruitment process.
