Job summary

Bloom + Brighten Kids Dentistry in Tualatin, OR is seeking a full-time Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our pediatric team. You will chairside assist, perform expanded duties per Oregon regs, capture radiographs, and help maintain a safe, child-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Certifications: Oregon EFDA Certification, RHS (Radiology) Certification, and BLS/CPR Certification
• Experience: 1–3 years of pediatric dental assisting experience OR graduation from an accredited DA program
• Software: Open Dental experience is a major plus
• Skills: Excellent patient communication, gentle demeanor with children, and a positive, collaborative mindset

Responsibilities

• Chairside pediatric assisting during clinical and specialized procedures
• Performing expanded duties in strict accordance with Oregon regulations
• Capturing dental radiographs (RHS required)
• Treatment room preparation, instrument sterilization, and maintaining OSHA/CDC safety standards
• Managing digital patient records using practice management software (Open Dental preferred)
• Creating a comforting, fun, and safe environment for patients and their parents
