Job summary

Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital seeks an END technician or EEG-Non Registered to perform testing, attach monitoring equipment, observe recordings, and educate patients and families in the neurology lab. You will ensure safety throughout a patient’s stay and adhere to departmental standards.

The role requires strong communication, ability to work with children and families, and careful documentation of procedures and results as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrates good interpersonal skills considering age/population and cognitive abilities.
• May be exposed to chemical vapors such as acetone, ether, or glutaraldehyde.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and calibrate testing equipment for END procedures.
• Attach electrodes and sensors according to standards and document patient information.
• Report test results to interpreting physician and supervisor per policy.
• Follow sedation policies and document usage and effects.
