Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital in Cleveland is seeking an experienced RN to join the Pediatric Emergency Department. You will deliver direct nursing care to infants, children, and teens, participate in care planning, and collaborate with families to explain treatments.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• BLS Certification through AHA or Red Cross
• ACLS and PALS as required/on hire or within 1 year
• One year of acute care RN experience or ED experience or licensed military RN experience

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.

Education

Diploma, ADN or BSN program (RN)

Current RN licensure

BLS Certification (AHA or Red Cross)

ACLS and PALS (upon hire or within 1 year)

1 year acute care RN or ED experience
