Job summary

Legacy Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel Emergency Department in Portland, OR. The RN will deliver high-quality pediatric care as part of a multidisciplinary team, guided by the hospital’s patient-centered philosophy.

Required is an RN license; BSN preferred for advanced assignments. Pediatric ED experience is strongly preferred, with exposure to both pediatric and adult ED environments considered.

Qualifications

• BSN strongly preferred; BSN may be required for specific assignments.
• One year RN experience or completion of Legacy Health RN Residency or equivalent program.
• Pediatric ED experience strongly preferred; adult ED or pediatric experience acceptable.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, physicians and staff.
• Ability to navigate electronic systems and keyboard proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care within an assigned department/unit as part of the health care team under the direction of the clinical manager.
• Assess, analyze, plan, implement and evaluate patient care following Legacy Health standards, including patient transfer.
• Collaborate with team to deliver safe, efficient and compassionate pediatric emergency services.
