Job summary

Nicklaushealth is seeking a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant to function independently within the supervision parameters of a pediatric ED. You will assess, diagnose, and manage acute illnesses and injuries, perform histories and exams, order tests, treat minor injuries, and document care in the EMR.

Qualifications include a Master's in PA, Florida PA license, NCCPA certification, and BLS/PALS. Weekend/evening shifts possible; Level II background check required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in an approved PA program.
• Current Florida PA license in good standing.
• Certification by NCCPA in good standing.
• AHA BLS and PALS certifications in good standing.
• Level II Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive H&Ps for pediatric patients in ED.
• Order and interpret labs and radiology tests.
• Perform procedures within scope of practice.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and research.
• Initiate emergency resuscitation and stabilization as needed.
• Document care accurately in EMR and records.
