Job summary

Cook Children’s in Prosper, TX is seeking a compassionate pediatric echocardiographer to perform high-quality cardiac imaging for neonatal, pediatric and adult patients under physician supervision.

Responsibilities include transthoracic and transesophageal exams across inpatient, outpatient and outreach settings, with on-call duties evenings and weekends. BLS is required; RDC/CCI must be obtained within 2 years of hire date.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a cardiac ultrasound program preferred.
• 1 year pediatric echocardiography experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; RDC/CCI credential required within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform transthoracic echocardiography on neonatal, pediatric and adult patients.
• Perform transesophageal echocardiography as indicated under supervision.
• Produce high-quality images and collaborate with cardiology team in various settings.
• Participate in on-call duties nights, weekends and holidays.

The ideal candidate is committed to delivering exceptional patient care, producing high-quality cardiac imaging studies, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving the lives of children with congenital and acquired heart conditions.Performs complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures under the supervision of a qualified physician for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Ultrasound procedures include: Transthoracic echocardiography ultrasound on neonatal, pediatric and adult patients. Transesophageal echocardiography ultrasound on neonatal, pediatric and adult patients. These responsibilities will take place in various locations and different settings that include inpatient, outpatient, and outreach clinic settings.
