Sanford Health in Fargo, ND is seeking a Certified Diabetes Educator to join our Pediatric Specialty Clinic.

This role educates patients and families on diabetes self-management, performs assessments, sets goals, provides nutrition therapy, and coordinates care with endocrinology and other providers.

The position supports an outreach network across the region, with a Monday–Friday schedule and no holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in dietetics or nutrition from an ACEND-accredited program.
• Master's degree required after 2024 per ACEND.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) and licensed in practice state.
• Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) or plan to obtain within three years.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families on diabetes self-management and care planning.
• Perform assessments, set goals and provide behavioral support for self-care skills.
• Deliver nutrition therapy and monitor dietary needs for diverse patient ages.
• Coordinate with pediatric endocrinology and multidisciplinary team for care.
• Support diabetes technologies and quality improvement initiatives.
