Job summary

The University of Virginia Division of Dentistry is seeking an Assistant Professor Pediatric Dental Specialist to join our pediatric comprehensive treatment facility. The role involves care for patients with complex medical conditions in ambulatory clinics, the hospital OR, and emergency department, with a clinical faculty track and tenure-ineligible status.

Responsibilities include supervising four GPR residents in ambulatory care and OR settings, with fair on-call distribution.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD and completion of a CODA accredited Pediatric Dental Residency.
• 5+ years as a Pediatric Dentist; Board Certification preferred.
• Sedation license is beneficial and experience with sedation.
• Experience with medical/behavior complexities and cleft lip/palate is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor four GPR residents in ambulatory pediatric dentistry and OR settings.
• Share on-call responsibilities fairly across the team.
