Additional Information About the Role

St. Louis Children's Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Dentist to join the team.

  • Working hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, depending on patient volume.
  • Call is rotating holidays with three other dentists.
  • Responsibilities include outpatient, inpatient, and surgical procedures.
  • You will treat medically complex patients.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

To diagnose, prevent, and treat issues related to teeth or mouth tissue. Candidates must have a Pediatric Dentistry certificate from an accredited program in the U.S. or Canada and be eligible for a specialty license in pediatric dentistry.

Responsibilities

  • Provide optimal patient care through evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of dental issues. Fulfill dental consulting requests.
  • Accurately record all procedures and relevant patient information.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate clinic staff.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with superiors, colleagues, public agencies, and healthcare providers.
  • Educate patients and families about dental health and hygiene.
Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Doctorate (DDS/DMD) from an accredited dental school.

Experience

  • Less than 2 years of experience.

Supervisor Experience

  • No supervisory experience required.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Membership in the American Dental Association.
  • Licensed Dentist in Missouri.
Preferred Requirements

Experience

  • 5-10 years of experience preferred.

Supervisor Experience

  • 2-5 years of supervisory experience preferred.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Eligibility or certification in Pediatric Dentistry Board.
