Job Description

A Chamberburg-based client seeks an experienced and collaborative Pediatric Dentist to provide dental care to patients under eighteen at a community health center. The ideal candidate values equitable and evidence-based care, possesses good organizational and collaborative skills, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. The team includes one Pediatric Dentist, two Dental Hygienists, Expanded Function Dental Assistants, Dental Assistants, and a fully staffed front office.

Required Qualifications
  • Active PA Dental License
  • Board certified or eligible
  • Active DEA certification
  • Dental Degree (D.D.S. or D.M.D.) from an accredited dental school
Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth, gums, and related oral structures.
  • Examine patients using x-rays, mirrors, explorers, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Perform cleanings, fillings, extractions, and replacements of teeth using rotary and hand instruments, dental appliances, medications, and surgical tools.
  • Design and construct crowns, bridges, and other oral structures.
  • Develop examination and treatment plans for patients.
  • Participate in management and staff meetings, as well as Board meetings and retreats when appropriate.
  • Ensure safety and security of the Dental Department following OSHA standards.
