Job summary

Great Lakes Family Dental in Saginaw, MI, is seeking a Pediatric Dentist or General Dentist open to treating children to join our team. The role offers part-time or full-time schedules with a per diem rate of $1,000–$1,200, and a modern practice with integrated orthodontics and oral surgery within a state-of-the-art facility.

The right candidate will have a DMD or DDS, board eligibility or certification in pediatric dentistry, and licensure in the state.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree from ADA CODA accredited program
• Board eligible or board certified in pediatric dentistry
• Current state license to practice dentistry
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination
• Proof of malpractice insurance
• Current BLS or CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention
• Diagnose oral diseases
• Educate patients on oral health and various treatment options
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore patient's oral health
• Review treatment plan options with patients
• Review, maintain and update patients' medical and dental records
• Review and interpret x‑rays and diagnostic tests. Monitor growth and development of the teeth and jaws
• Provide proper restorative and preventive dental care
• Maintain the highest quality standard of care for all patients
• Maintain the highest standard of ethics and professionalism within the dental office Keep abreast of new developments, technologies, best practices and standard of care through current continuing education courses and professional development

Education

DMD or DDS degree

Board eligible or board certified in pediatric dentistry

Current state license to practice dentistry

Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination

Proof of malpractice insurance

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
