Great Lakes Family Dental in Saginaw, MI is seeking a full-time pediatric dentist, or a general dentist who is open to treating children, to join our team in our Saginaw, MI office. We provide General, Pediatric, Orthodontic, and Periodontic services. The right candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to excellence in patient care.

Part-time or Full-Time schedule, flexible days based on provider's interest/availability. 1,000 - 1,200 per diem.

Qualifications

• PhD? not applicable, but must be a licensed dentist with pediatric credentials.
• Board eligibility or board certification in pediatric dentistry is required.
• Active state dental license is required for practice.
• Vaccination for Hepatitis B is required to ensure patient safety.
• Proof of malpractice insurance is required.
• BLS/CPR certification must be current.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention
• Diagnose oral diseases
• Educate patients on oral health and various treatment options
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore patient's oral health
• Review treatment plan options with patients
• Review, maintain and update patients' medical and dental records
• Review and interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests. Monitor growth and development of the teeth and jaws
• Provide proper restorative and preventive dental care
• Maintain the highest quality standard of care for all patients
• Maintain the highest standard of ethics and professionalism within the dental office
• Keep abreast of new developments, technologies, best practices and standard of care through current continuing education courses and professional development

Education

DMD or DDS degree from a university-based dental education program accredited by the ADA CODA

Board eligible or board certified in pediatric dentistry

Current state license to practice dentistry

Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination

Proof of malpractice insurance

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
