Knoxville Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a Pediatric Dentist - Associate to join a well-established family practice in Knoxville, TN. The role focuses on exams, sealants, fillings, crowns, pulpotomies, space maintainers, and other pediatric procedures in a child-friendly setting.

Candidates must have a DDS/DMD, an active license, completed pediatric residency or 3 years of pediatric experience, and current BLS/PALS certification, with about 4 years in pediatric dentistry and strong behavioral

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school.
• Active state license to practice dentistry.
• Completion of pediatric dentistry residency or 3 years of pediatric experience.
• Current BLS and PALS certification.
• 4 years of experience in pediatric dentistry with behavior management.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric dental care including exams, cleanings, sealants, fillings, crowns, pulpotomies, extractions, and space maintainers.
• Diagnose conditions and develop age-appropriate treatment plans.
• Utilize behavior management techniques for a calm patient experience.
• Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene and preventive care.
• Administer nitrous oxide and/or sedation as licensed.
• Maintain documentation in the EHR; ensure HIPAA, safety and infection control compliance.
• Collaborate with general dentists and specialists to provide integrated care.
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and community outreach.
• Contribute to a professional, child-friendly environment; support operations.

Position requires (i) DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school, (ii) active state license to practice dentistry, (iii) completion of an accredited pediatric dentistry residency program or 3 years of experience working with pediatric patients, (iv) current BLS and PALS certification; and (v) 4 years of experience with pediatric dentistry, including experience with child behavior management, reduction of treatment anxiety, effective communication with parents, and safely perform procedures on young patients.
