CHOICE Healthcare Services in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join a busy, friendly practice working with pediatric dentistry, orthodontics and anesthesia specialists.

The role involves assisting doctors, taking X-rays and IOs, sterilizing instruments, and educating patients on oral hygiene. Certifications in X-ray and BLS are required, with Spanish bilingual preferred; experience or dental-college certification is acceptable.

Qualifications

• Certification from a dental college OR 3–6 months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures
• Takes x-rays
• Takes IO's
• Assist in Prophylaxis cleaning of teeth
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene
• Charts cavities and teeth with doctor
• Sterilizes instruments
• Sets up/breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment/hygiene
• Charting of patient's treatment and treatment plan with doctor
