Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures, including general anesthesia.
  • Clean the patient’s teeth.
  • Apply fluoride treatments.
  • Take, expose, and develop digital radiographs (bitewings, panoramic).
  • Provide hygiene and diet education.
  • Take impressions.
  • Schedule follow-up exams.
  • Review schedule to ensure proper appointment planning.
  • Set-up and tear down dental chairs and operatory rooms.
  • Discuss treatment plans during parent consultations.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments.
  • Perform lab work.
  • Restock supplies in rooms and sterilization areas.
  • Maintain infection control and OSHA guidelines.
  • Participate in marketing efforts.
  • Write referral letters.
