Job summary

NC Pediatric Dentistry is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant I/II to join our Locust, NC team. You will assist dentists, take and develop radiographs, and help with patient education in a child-friendly environment.

The role requires x-ray certification, completion of a dental assistant program, and strong communication with patients and parents. We offer a supportive team, ongoing training, and a stable work setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a dental assistant program per state guidelines is required.
• Dental x-ray certification is required.
• Coronal Polishing Certification is required.
• Nitrous certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatments.
• Take and develop dental radiographs.
• Maintain sterile environment and deliver instruments.
• Educate parents and patients on oral hygiene.
• Review treatment needs and consent forms before procedures.
• Ensure OSHA safety and proper infection control.
