Job summary
Smile Starters Dental seeks a part-time Dental Assistant II for our Charlotte location. You will handle chairside assistance, prep work, radiographs, and patient records with a focus on pediatric care.
The role requires CPR and coronal polishing certification, familiarity with dental software, and strong communication in a busy pediatric setting. Thursdays, 6am–3pm, with opportunities for growth within our friendly team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a dental assistant
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- CPR Certification required; Coronal Polishing Certification required; N2O Certification a plus
- Graduate of an accredited dental assistant program
Responsibilities
- Prior to patient’s arrival: Set up back and front tables, log into computer systems, save x-rays, adjust chair and equipment
- Chairside prep: wear gloves/gown, suction, place throat pack, coronal polish
- Between cases: manage x-rays and prepare next case
- Immediately after TP Out: record times, update charts, prep next patient
- During downtime: restock, gather supplies, inventory and sterilize instruments
