Job summary

Belmont Pediatric Dentistry in Belmont, NC is hiring a Dental Assistant II - Pediatrics. Full-time with 8-hour shifts, serving children across Charlotte area and surrounding communities.

You will assist dentists, sterilize instruments, take X-rays, educate families, and help with front-office tasks. Qualifications include CDA/EFDA, Coronal Polishing and Nitrous Oxide certifications, 2+ years of dental assisting, HIPAA/infection control knowledge, and pediatric experience preferred.

Qualifications

• CDA or EFDA certification required.
• Coronal Polishing and Nitrous Oxide certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Minimum 2 years dental assisting experience.
• Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, HIPAA, and infection control.
• Pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists chairside during procedures, ensuring seamless patient care.
• Prepare, sterilize, and organize instruments and equipment.
• Create a welcoming and comforting experience for children.
• Capture dental X-rays in compliance with safety guidelines.
• Educate parents and caregivers on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with front-office support as needed.
