Job summary

Belmont Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a Dental Assistant II - Pediatrics to join our team in Belmont, NC. You will assist our pediatric dentists chairside, prepare instruments, take X-rays, and help educate families while maintaining a welcoming environment for children.

Ideal candidates hold a CDA/EFDA or equivalent, with coronal polishing and nitrous oxide certification (or willingness to obtain). Minimum 2 years of pediatric dental assisting experience and familiarity with Curve Dental

Qualifications

• Bilingual ability is a plus for communicating with families.
• Pediatric dental assisting experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and infection control practices in a medical setting.
• CDA or EFDA certification required or pending.
• Curve Dental software experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists chairside during procedures, ensuring seamless patient care.
• Prepare, sterilize, and organize instruments and equipment.
• Capture dental X-rays in compliance with safety guidelines.
• Educate parents and caregivers on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with front-office support as needed.
