Smile Starters is a pediatric-focused dental practice in Raleigh, NC seeking a Dental Assistant II. You will welcome patients, assist chairside, prep instruments, sterilize equipment and maintain records. The role supports a busy team delivering compassionate pediatric care for ages 1–20.

• Proven experience as a dental assistant.
• Knowledge of instruments and sterilization methods.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Coronal polishing certification a plus.
• Strong computer skills for scheduling and records.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized and reliable.
• Bilingual abilities a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and families to the office with professionalism.
• Conduct pre- and post-operative patient consultations.
• Prepare patients for treatments or checkups and ensure comfort.
• Select, prepare, and arrange instruments and materials.
• Sterilize instruments according to standards.
• Assist the dentist chairside using 4-handed dentistry.
• Maintain patient records and assist with payments.
• Schedule appointments and support the dental team.
