Qualifications

• ADA-accredited dental assisting program with CPR certification.
• DANB Dental Assistant certification or equivalent CPR certification.
• Alternate pathways include sterilization/infection control course plus CPR and radiography training.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists with routine pediatric procedures under direct supervision.
• Prepare treatment areas and instruments before procedures.
• Provide chairside assistance during cleanings and fluoride treatments.
• Take and develop dental X-rays following safety protocols.
• Enter treatment notes and update patient records in the EHR.
• Support scheduling, patient education, and post-treatment instructions.
