HAMLIN FAMILY DENTISTRY INC is seeking a qualified Dental Assistant to join our pediatric dental team. You will assist the dentist during exams and procedures, prepare sterilized equipment, and handle scheduling and front-desk tasks to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Prior Dental Assistant experience is preferred. We value friendly, outgoing individuals who are comfortable with computers and dedicated to creating a fantastic dental experience for families.

Qualifications

• Strong computer and data entry skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Ability to provide high-quality patient care.
• Self-motivated with initiative and proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable.
• Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer questions.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
• Take vital signs and record medical history.
• Prep sterilized equipment and make it available to the dentist for exams and procedures.
• Take and develop dental x-rays.
• Assist the dentist during procedures and exams.
• Adhere to HIPAA and health/safety regulations; follow office policies.
• Proficiency in using Softdent dental software.
• Schedule appointments.
