Job summary

Children's Dental FunZone is seeking a Dental Assistant to join a pediatric dental practice. Full-time role with hours Mon-Fri 8:00 am–5:00 pm and Sat 8:00 am–2:00 pm.

Hourly pay range $18–$23 with monthly bonuses. The ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of dental assistant experience, dental assistant schooling, infection control and X-ray certificates, CPR/BLS preferred, and Spanish bilingual a plus.

Qualifications

• Dental Assistant schooling required.
• Pediatric dental experience preferred.
• Infection control & X-ray certificate holder required.
• CPR/BLS certificate holder preferred.
• Spanish-bilingual is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Take patients' medical history, blood pressure, and pulse.
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.
• Provide Pre/Post OP instructions for oral care following surgery or dental treatment procedures.
• Teach patients oral hygiene to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling).
• Take impressions of the patient's teeth for study casts (models of teeth).
• Chart/enter a treatment into Dentrix Ascend
