Job summary

NC Pediatric Dentistry is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant II to join our growing team in Fuquay-Varina, NC. You will assist in providing high-quality dental care under a dentist's supervision, manage a busy schedule, and ensure patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include assisting during procedures, taking radiographs, sterilization, and supporting front-to-back operations. The role emphasizes OSHA compliance, teamwork, and educating families on oral health.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED and completion of a dental assistant program as per state guidelines.
• Dental x-ray certification is required; Coronal Polishing Certification is preferred.
• Additional certification such as nitrous oxide is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Review treatment needs and answer questions before procedures.
• Perform routine dental cleanings and prepare patient for next visit.
• Take and develop dental radiographs; monitor nitrous oxide as needed.
• Sterilize and deliver instruments; maintain clean, OSHA-compliant environment.
• Educate parents and patients on proper oral hygiene strategies.
