Job summary

Automatic Data Processing, Inc. in Denver/Centennial is seeking a Dental Assistant to support a pediatric dentistry team. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists, maintain records in Dentrix, and educate families on post-treatment care.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and grow in the dental field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team orientated environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Registered Dental Assistant with two years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize dental treatment rooms and instruments prior to patient appointments.
• Assist dentists during various dental procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and ensuring patient comfort.
• Perform sterilization and disinfection of dental tools and equipment following strict infection control protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix, including updating medical histories and treatment plans.
• Educate patients and their guardians on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care with empathy and clear communication.
• Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow to minimize wait times.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of dental supplies and materials, ensuring availability for daily operations.
• Adhere to body motion and ergonomics best practices to maintain personal health and safety during clinical tasks.
