Super Smiles 4 Kids in Portsmouth, VA seeks a friendly Pediatric Dental Assistant with at least 1–2 years of experience to support the dentist during exams and procedures and handle scheduling and administrative tasks.

You will welcome patients, prep equipment, take vital information, and ensure high-quality patient care in a family-friendly environment with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assisting Certificate Preferred
• X-ray certifcation required
• Previous experience as a dental assistant
• Strong computer and data entry skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to provide high-quality patient care
• Software: Open dental a plus
• Must have at least 1-2 years experience to be considered

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable
• Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have
• Take vital signs and accurately record medical history
• Prep sterilized equipment and make it available to the dentist for exams and procedures
• Assist dentist during procedures and exams
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies
• Schedule appointments
