Job summary

Sweet Tooth Pediatric Dentistry in Millburn, NJ seeks a dedicated Pediatric Dental Assistant to support a caring, child-friendly practice. You will assist the pediatric dentist during procedures, prepare operatory, take radiographs, and help maintain infection control.

The role offers a flexible schedule as part-time or full-time (4–5 days). Candidates must hold a valid New Jersey dental assistant license and an X-ray license, with strong teamwork, organization, and communication skills to work

Qualifications

Must possess a valid New Jersey dental assistant license.
Current dental X-ray license is compulsory.
Experience working with children and families is preferred.
Excellent teamwork and organizational abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

Assist the pediatric dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
Set up and break down operatory post-treatment.
Take, develop and mount dental radiographs (x-rays).
Maintain infection control protocols and sterilize treatment areas.
Interact positively with children and parents, providing oral hygiene information.
Manage dental supplies inventory and anticipate needed items.
Document services in patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
Support with office administrative tasks when needed.
Ensure equipment operation through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
