Job summary

Affiliated Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Pediatric Dental Assistant to support our concierge pediatric dental team. The role focuses on education, relationship building, and delivering exceptional patient care to children and families.

You will assist the dentist during exams and procedures, perform Coronal Polish and digital x-rays, and ensure infection control in a welcoming, high-end environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program preferred.
• Coronal Polish Certification and DANB x-ray certification (or in process for completion within 6 months).
• Experience in pediatric dental setting is a plus.
• Excellent communication, empathy, and teamwork when interacting with children and parents.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create a friendly atmosphere for procedures to put patients at ease.
• Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene, brushing, flossing, and dietary habits.
• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring tools and infection control.
• Perform Coronal Polish and take digital dental x-rays with correct positioning and image quality.
• Collaborate with the dental team to develop effective treatment plans.
