Job summary

Pediatric Dental OKC is seeking a compassionate Dental Assistant to join our pediatric dental team. You will collaborate with pediatric dentists to provide efficient, child-friendly care in a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include preparing rooms, assisting during procedures, taking X-rays, and maintaining accurate records while ensuring safety and comfort for young patients and their families.

Qualifications

• Pediatric dental experience is preferred.
• Certification as a dental assistant per state requirements.
• CPR/BLS certification current as required.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations, restorations, and pediatric treatments.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient care.
• Take and develop dental X-rays per state regulations.
• Support procedures including fillings, crowns, sealants for children.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
• Communicate with children and families to keep them comfortable.
• Follow infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and sterilization protocols.
• Ensure smooth patient flow and operatory turnover throughout the day.
