Our client, located in Springfield, OR is seeking a compassionate and skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join their pediatric dental practice in Oregon. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing high-quality care to children, assisting in a variety of dental procedures, and ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for young patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist pediatric dentists with restorative, preventive, and emergency procedures.
• Comfort and engage young patients to ease dental anxiety.
• Take and process digital X-rays in compliance with Oregon state regulations.
• Educate parents and children on oral hygiene and preventive care.
• Maintain strict sterilization and infection control protocols.
• Manage patient records, schedule appointments, and coordinate treatment plans using dental software.
• Ensure dental instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless clinic operations.

Required Qualifications:

• Oregon EFDA Certification
• Radiology Certification (Oregon Board of Dentistry)
• Coronal Polishing & Sealant Certification
• CPR & First Aid Certification
• Knowledge of HIPAA & OSHA Compliance
• Experience working with children in a dental setting preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental a plus).
