Dentistry for Kids in Reno, NV seeks a Pediatric Dental Assistant with no experience required. You will be trained to provide pediatric chairside support and help create a welcoming, fun environment for children and families.

The role emphasizes safety, comfort, and teamwork within a busy practice. As a starting point in dentistry, you’ll learn sterilization, patient handling, and daily clinic operations while supporting a caring team of pediatric specialists.

Responsibilities

• Pediatric Chairside Assisting: provide four‑handed chairside assistance to pediatric dentists.
• Patient Comfort & Anxiety Relief: greet children with high energy to ease anxieties and make visits fun.
• Clinic Operations & Sterilization: prepare, sterilize, and turnover treatment rooms following infection control protocols.
• Team Collaboration: work with clinical and front office teams to maintain smooth patient flow.

A Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and member of the ADA and AAPD, Dr. Wilde loves making dental visits fun. Outside the office, he and his wife, Brooke, enjoy raising their five children in Reno, hiking, swimming at Lake Tahoe, skiing at Mt. Rose, painting, and biking!

• Dr. Grace Chen: Originally from Toronto, Canada, Dr. Grace earned her DDS at the University of Toronto, completed a General Practice Residency at Jacobi Medical Center (a Level-1 trauma center in the Bronx), and earned her specialty certificate in pediatric dentistry at BronxCare Health Systems in NY. A member of the AAPD, ADA, and CSPD, Dr. Grace is passionate about helping kids build healthy lifelong habits. Outside the office, she enjoys hiking, surfing, and traveling!

What You’ll Do Every Day (Responsibilities)

• Pediatric Chairside Assisting: Learn to provide efficient four‑handed chairside assistance to our pediatric dentists during clinical and preventive procedures.


• Patient Comfort & Anxiety Relief: Greet children and parents with high energy, using kid‑friendly techniques to ease anxieties, put children at ease, and make visits fun.


• Clinic Operations & Sterilization: Prepare, sterilize, and turn over treatment rooms while strictly following CDC, OSHA, and ADA infection control protocols.


• Team Collaboration: Work hand‑in‑hand with clinical and front office teams to maintain a smooth, cheerful daily patient flow.

What We're Looking For (Qualifications)

• Experience: No prior dental assisting experience required! Customer service experience, retail background, or 1 year of dental assisting experience are all welcome—we will provide full clinical training!


• Communication Skills: Warm, enthusiastic, and patient‑focused communication skills with a natural ability to connect with kids and families.


• Mindset: A strong work ethic, a collaborative team‑first attitude, a love for learning, and a passion for helping children.


• Safety & Compliance: This position is safety‑sensitive; successful completion of a pre‑employment drug screen is required.
